Canadian Recap

It turned out to be yet another strong tournament for Snedeker who was in contention deep into the final round that was eventually won by Jim Furyk. Brandt ended up 5 shots back at -11 for a T7. He posted consistently well-played rounds of 67, 68, 70 and 68. CBS devoted a fair amount of coverage to Brandt on Sunday as it is clear that he is becoming a force on the course.

Hot Start

Brand fired a -5 67 in the opening round of the Canadian Open to secure a T5. Snedeker's great round included 5 birds and an Eagle on the par 4 12th hole. Let's see if he can sneak up on leader Hunter Mahan who posted a crazy 62.

69

A fine number to begin with and a good post for a golfer. Cograts Brandt on a T33 with a fine 69.

SNEDEKER!

Every once in a while, you find a sports figure that you like for maybe no particular reason other than the simple fact that you you like the person's style. Well, I've been a golf fan for about 30 years or more and I really like Brandt Snedeker's style -- he smiles a lot and it sure looks to me like he's having a hell of a lot of fun out there - I like that in a golfer. Too many (Hey, Colin Montgomerie! hey Sergio! ) look like they've got bugs up their Dockers. Snedeker is the anti- bug-up-the-ass. He always looks like he's having a great old time and guess what - his relaxed approach seems to be doing his game a world of good. He's quietly grabbing top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour and it's only a matter of time before he breaks through with a W. Sports misses fun and good attitudes most of the time. Brandt Snedeker, I believe is a throwback to a time where people just love to play sports without hidden agendas and corporate motivation. So I root for Brandt every tourney. Say with me as loud as you can (it feels good): SNEDEKER!!!
